The Community Vanguard
Empowr is a nonprofit (501c3) operating as the school-to-career pipeline in underserved communities. We believe that the surest path to economic prosperity is education built upon real-world skills and real-world income.
Too many talented students face barriers preventing them from securing the opportunities necessary to succeed in life. These disparities are the foundation for the poverty cycles, crime, education gaps, and multitude of problems that have been ingrained into communities.
We end those cycles. We teach engineering, coding, and AI skills and how to use these capabilities to solve problems within their community. Our students don’t just learn in the classroom; they complete paid internships through our partners to earn income and gain real-world experience. Along the way, students complete leadership training, tour world-class companies, build resumes, and deploy solutions. The results speak for themselves: 100% of our students go to college, with an average of $200,000 in college scholarships, or earn a career making $85,000 directly out of high school.
